This is a linocut print of a fisherman hut in Île de Ré, an island off the west coast of France known for its salt marshes and beaches with fisherman huts on stilts.
It's an original reduction linocut print, using just one block of lino and a process of carving away the lino between each layer of colour to produce the final image.
It is a limited variable print from an edition of just 16 prints
using Zerkall extra smooth printing paper, 145gsm and Lawrence linseed oil relief printing inks. The image size is 30.5cm x 30.5cm and the paper size is approx 38cm x 38cm which gives a generous margin to allow for framing.
My linocuts are handmade from start to finish - hand carved, inked and handprinted, and as such they
will have small variations between prints - making each print into a unique artwork.
All of my prints are flat packed if delivered within the UK, and will
be sent packaged in tissue and a tube if delivered outside of the UK. If international delivery required, please contact me for a price and to arrange delivery (info@susannoble.co.uk) .
